Madam Yap’s Gula Melaka has been established since 2007. Their Gula Melaka are handmade with 100% pure & natural ingredients, without adding any sugar.
Coconut water (coconut flower sap) is the main component to produce coconut sugar. The coconut water is clear and translucent but after a few hours of boiling, it will become dark brown and thick which will then be poured into the bamboo mold to be solidified into “Sugar Column”. This is coconut sugar which are known as “Gula Melaka”.
Madam Yap’s Gula Melaka has a mild caramel and strong aromatic taste. It is an ideal & popular ingredient for cooking desserts, sauces, puddings, cendol, kuih-muih or even sambal. It is also best use as replacement of white sugar to coffee, tea or even soya drinks.
Madam Yap’s Gula Melaka Ginger Cube, added with our local famous Bentong Ginger in it. It can be used as cooking ingredients, or add into your favorite drinks like homemade soya milk or etcs.
